#240818: from todo to almost finished
⎋/~
This past week has, simply put, upwards graph regarding work and results. After I spent some difficult time at the beginning (as I also wrote in the last update), things started to get easier. Thanks (again!) to coworking via Focusmate (of course!).
After the stream for Fediwave / Radio Free Fedi on Tuesday (recording of which I plan to share in the next update, I have recorded vocals for the track 'Minica' with Jan on Wednesday. I have finished (I marked it that it's at 97% ha!) Minica track today.
I have spent some more time on Lubricate me, to a degree that I'm very happy with that track, polished the different layers, added overdriveen feedback delays and tricks like that. There's an ending drafted and waiting for me to work on, most probably in this dancefloor style. You can hear it in the attached track.

Leon came to record the vocals for 'Aplauso' track on friday and we nailed it quite quickly and "properly". I continued to work on polishing the vocal recordings for both Aplauso and Minica. I'm learning some DIY tricks how to make vocals sound more full (with multiple layers of either different recordings, or with different processing, but keep them relatively quiet in the background).
Saturday I found vocal recordings from the stage show for 'Jst Ga Res Ljubim' track and worked first on those vocal recordings and then on the actual track, and brought it very very far - kinda almost finished!

And today was another extremely productive day: recorded vocals with both M. and Nataša for four different tracks: N. for 'Lubricate Me' and 'Ljubo/Jugo', M. for 'Heaven' and 'Stoj Đoni Stoj'. After that I returned to 'Minica' and kinda more or less finished it.

I also finally (since the last one in January) wrote a weeknote - it's a update on the last week with kinda fragmented story, each paragraph or two just simply reporting on some activities and feelings. It's a different sort of blogging, where it's an overwhelming article/post to be written but just some loose ends to cover. Take a look: https://prin.lu/log/240816_weeknote_24.03/
Ah, and I feel like I have a candidate for the title: "DRAGXFUNK". Not 100% about it yet, but almost...
That's all for this week. Can I keep the streak going? I hope to write again next week!
As always, thank you for your generous support, patience, and being part of The Backstairs Tone journey. I hope next week treats you well! 💚
