#240405: a rut and a dj mix
⎋/~
Dear friends!
It's been too long without a word from me. At the start of this year I have set myself on a path of more frequent updates, especially in conjunction with new membership project - this! The Backstairs Tone! - but here we are, after a while.
But no drama. Just some honest feelings and a link to a goodie for dancing your friday night away!
I've been in a rut, as they say, for a month or more. The thing is, last months of previous year - from September to December - have been really busy. A lot of work, at bottom line rewarding, but it's fair to say it was stressful and exhausting. So it was only natural to take it easy during first months of the new year, and to be fair - I'm grateful that I am privileged to be able to 'afford' such a wind-down.
However when it came time to pick the pace back up, to face the new - exciting and creative - challenges, my tendency to delay, avoid and procrastinate took precedence. However, in the last few days I managed to pick myself up from the lassitude by help of 'working together' - the saviour virtual coworking platform Focusmate.
So, here is the caesura, changing the topic, moving on to a this update's goodie.
As I was preparing an EPK ("Electronic Press Kit") because I'm putting together a small, fragmented european tour, I decided to quickly record a totally new DJ mix from some of the tracks that I acquired in last two or three shopping sessions for my DJ electronic dancefloor sets. I present you my latest mix called "CALLING BODY TACTICS". The title is inspired by words that appear in the last, outro-like, most experimental, track. I'm very happy with the selection of very new and quite uncompromising tracks and I also feel mixing is more or less the way I want it. It was done in an evening in little top room at home, all on headphones.
This was published already yesterday online though, so it's not so exclusive, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway.

Thank you for your generous support, I hope next week treats you well, and I'll see you soon!
